STUDIO NEWS

After a very busy 2 weeks of moving, cleaning and organizing things,

I am happy to say that the new space for Term classes has been well received.

To clarify: this new set up is different than the public space studio before.

Yes, I am still offering Creative mentoring and guidance,

but Studio hours and tuition is by by prior arrangement only

So, please ALWAYS contact me first by email or message.

Monday

a new facebook Page for the Studio

The Studio has a NEW PAGE on FB

Why? - my profile was taken down by FB -Why? - apparently my account got h*ck/-ed

(apologies, the spelled out word attracts unwanted communications in itself)

Subsequently I was restricted and eventually totally erased. What a weird feeling. It also means I have no more access to my pages and basically have to start allover again. Apparently that is how things work in FB land. You really never get to talk to a human there

..... Well ..... I started this studio and built it up from scratch from 2012 (I mean really from nothing after my earthquake experience) That is almost 12 years of work, all by myself. So, it's a bit of a nuisance really to suddenly lose all the history on that earlier page

(b.t.w. you can still see all the photo albums here > https://www.facebook.com/theartemistyoungatartstudio/photos )

I just have no way of responding to messages you send to me there though

► Still, I have risen up from the ashes before and I will keep doing this. Always with love and many thanks to all my lovely students and cheerleaders who keep supporting me,

much Love, Arohanui,

xx Joyce

Secure your spot for Term 3

It's already that time again.
We are getting more enquiries and schedules are being drawn up for Term 3.
So: Make sure to register and get organised for the after school classes this winter :)

[Current students always have first dibs and there are waiting lists,
because the places in our groups are limited]

And the schedule for the Holiday workshops is also up now :)

Sunday

Term 2 - Online

With the latest updates and details of the proposed Level 3 that we will be hopefully moving into next week, it is clear now, that we will have to continue and start Term 2 with Online classes through our course platform supported with Live sessions.
These last few weeks of online live sessions have proven a success :)
It has been really good for the children to keep creatively active and if was really fun seeing the interactions during the classes as well.

*The Theme for term 2 was already going to be storytelling and illustration, which lends itself perfectly for the online format as well. So, this will see the delivery of the Term 2 work as follows:

*Every Monday morning, new material will drop into the online course platform for the students to watch, read and get inspired by. (there will be videos, images, stories, audio etc.)
*The Live sessions will be at the same time as before,

so you can attend the same class on the same day that you normally attend in the studio.
*If we are ready to move back to Level 2 restrictions anytime during Term 2 ,

we can then easily move back to the classes in the studio space.
*These classes are of course also available for children outside of Tauranga, and in the case that we would be moving back to Level 2, we will organize what day you will continue attending your classes.
*Email me HERE for availability, I will answer a.s.a.p.

Celebrating the 2019 Award

Yay !!! For the 5th year in a row the Studio has received the Most Popular Award from Active Activities New Zealand. Having built this studio up from scratch with not much at all after our move from earthquake-stricken Christchurch makes me pretty proud, I can tell you that. I want to thank YOU all though, because without all my lovely students, I would not have been able to do this of course. I am very grateful for you !
